Use of Personal Information

We use collected information to:

  7. Protect our systems, data, and users from unauthorized access or misuse.

Where required by applicable law, processing activities are based on one or more lawful grounds, including contract performance, legitimate interest, legal obligation, or consent.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Techtonym does not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose personal data only to:

  1. Authorized service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, CRM, cloud storage, payment processing) bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements;
  2. Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants, auditors) under professional confidentiality obligations;

All third parties receiving personal data act as “processors” or “subprocessors” under applicable data protection laws and may only process such data on Techtonym’s documented instructions.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, including to comply with legal, contractual, and accounting requirements.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and applicable regulations (for example, Australian tax law generally requires business records to be retained for at least seven years). Once data is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymized.

International Data Transfers

Because Techtonym operates globally and uses international service providers, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction.

Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards such as:

  1. Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission;
  2. Adequacy decisions for compliant jurisdictions; or
  3. Equivalent legal mechanisms under the Australian Privacy Act, UAE PDPL, or Saudi PDPL.

We ensure that any cross-border transfers provide a level of protection substantially equivalent to that required by applicable privacy laws.

Data Security

Techtonym employs reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. Measures include encryption, access controls, network security, secure hosting, and staff confidentiality obligations.

In the event of a data breach that poses a risk of serious harm, we will promptly notify affected individuals and regulators in accordance with applicable law (e.g., GDPR or Australia’s Notifiable Data Breaches Scheme).

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  1. Access and obtain a copy of your personal information;
  2. Correct inaccuracies in your personal data;

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@techtonym.com

We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Deletion of Personal Data

You have the right to request the deletion of your Personal Data held by Techtonym, subject to applicable legal exceptions. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other relevant data protection frameworks, this right may be limited in circumstances where retention of such data is necessary to:

  1. Complete a transaction or fulfil a contractual obligation;
  2. Detect security incidents or protect against malicious, deceptive, or fraudulent activity;
  3. Comply with a legal obligation or regulatory requirement; or
  4. Preserve evidence for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

Upon receipt of a valid deletion request, Techtonym will erase your Personal Data from our systems as soon as reasonably practicable and in accordance with applicable law. If you have questions or wish to submit a deletion request, please contact us at privacy@techtonym.com

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed toward individuals under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us immediately, and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Exercising Your Privacy Rights

To exercise any of your data protection rights, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability, you or your duly authorized agent, must submit a request that:

  1. Provides sufficient information to allow Techtonym to verify your identity (and, where applicable, the authority of your agent); and
  2. Clearly describes the nature and scope of your request to enable us to evaluate and respond appropriately.

Requests that meet these criteria will be deemed “Valid Requests.” Techtonym will use Personal Data provided within a Valid Request solely for the purpose of verifying identity and processing the request. You are not required to hold an account to submit a Valid Request.

Techtonym endeavours to respond to all Valid Requests within 45 days of receipt. Where additional time is required due to the complexity or volume of requests, we will notify you in writing of the reason for the extension and expected response time. No fee will be charged for processing Valid Requests unless they are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, in which case a reasonable administrative fee may apply. You will be notified in advance if any such fee is applicable. Requests may be submitted to privacy@techtonym.com

Authorized Agents

You may authorize a third party (“Authorized Agent”) to act on your behalf to exercise your privacy rights. To do so, you must provide your Authorized Agent with written authorization granting them permission to act for you. Techtonym reserves the right to request a copy of such written authorization or to verify your identity directly with you before processing any request submitted by an Authorized Agent.

Non-Discrimination Statement

Techtonym will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights under applicable data protection laws, including the CCPA. Specifically, Techtonym will not:

  1. Deny you access to our Services;
  2. Charge you different prices or rates;
  3. Provide you with a different level or quality of services.

However, Techtonym may lawfully offer different tiers or pricing structures for Services, where such differences are reasonably related to the value of Personal Data provided, in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
